What does Successful Blogging Mean To Me?

I am currently attending the Technical Bootcamp II @hashnode, it is a free virtual Bootcamp aimed at helping technical writers improve their skills in writing. This was a task given in the session held by Michaela Greiler.

Blogging simply refers to writing content that you get to publish by yourself online. Blogging is seen as an opportunity for individuals to write diary-style entries, and it has since been a very impactful tool in almost every industry in this modern-day and especially the tech industry, where developers share their experience and expertise with the community and business share their success and inventions with their customers and also eligible customers.

As for me, I started blogging because I love reading, and writing is another way of learning and advancing my skills and knowledge in my field. It is also a way to give back to the community and with the presence of free platforms like hashnode this dream of writing has actually come through for many writers.

What Successful Blogging Means To Me.

Almost everybody wants to be successful at everything they set out to do, and the same applies to bloggers and very few know what successful blogging means.

successful blogging to me means being able to carve out your thoughts, experience, expertise and personality in writing so well that your writing speaks volume about you.

Successful blogging means creating valuable content that adds values to your readers and actually solves problems. For example, a chef and a customer, using the blogger as the chef and the reader as the customer, the chef's aim and purpose is to prepare tasty and healthy food for the customer, because the chef can only be said to be successful when the needs of his customers are always met adequately.

Successful blogging means being able to write with ease and see writing as a culture that you should practice and embrace, and also achieving all your aim and goals as a writer because despite the normal standard of successful blogging almost every blogger or writer have a reason or more why they started writing.

So when you begin to achieve your set goals as a writer you can as well say that you are successful as a writer. For me, my goals are to impart

  • knowledge and give value to the developer community in writing.

Tips.

  • Don,t be afraid of writing or feel that you are not good at words because there is always a first time to everything as no one was born writer but everyone took the bold step
  • Don,t get confused about what to write, use writing to document your learning journey or write about problems you face at work as a developer and ways to solve that problem.
  • Don,t be bothered about the length or quantity of a blog post rather be concerned about the quality of the post because a 20 line post that solves a problem is far better and preferable than a 100 line blog post that doesn't add value or solve a problem.

Blogging is what everyone can do in their space. So don't stop blogging. Share your thoughts in the interactive section.
